Summer Swatch Tag

Hello everyone!  Our challenge at Joy's Life this week was to create a swatch tag.  I was quite frightened when I saw this challenge because I didn't even know what that was!  :)  But after doing some research, I discovered that it's kind of like a mini album made with paint swatches...  So...  I went down to Wal-Mart and picked out some FREE paint swatches in different shades of yellow and orange and made this little album!  It's pretty inexpensive, and I think it's cute...

Joy's Life Stamps- Pun in the Sun
Paint swatches from any store
Bind-it-All 1/2 inch wire

There it is!  Have a great day!  :)

Halloween Mini Cards

Hello everyone!  I know it's only August (well almost September), but I couldn't wait to make some Halloween cards!  Back around Valentine's Day there was a challenge to create a "mini" card (3 x 3"), and I couldn't believe how cute that size turned out to be!  So....  I decided to make some "mini" cards for Halloween...  Our challenge this week at Joy's Life was to create a project using Cri-Kit pens.  I had never used these before, but they are amazing!  I don't know what kind of gel pens these are, but they don't leave blank spots in the lines like my regular pens do!  It's so fun to watch the Cricut drawing out your image instead of cutting it (I'm easily entertained)!  :)  Here are my cards...

To make these: I used my Gypsy to decide on the size of the image, then I put a 2 3/4" square piece of white paper on the mat, and it drew the images right where I wanted them.  After they were drawn, I just had to tape the white pieces onto the card bases (3 x 6" folded in half), stamp the sentiments, and embellish them a bit.  Easy peasy!!!

Mini Monsters- spider & web drawn at 1.86"
Joy's Life Stamps- Halloween Puns
Cri-Kits pens- glitter set
Stickles- turquoise
Googly eyes

Celebrate with Flourish- witch drawn at 2.22"
Joy's Life Stamps- Halloween Puns
Cri-Kits pens- glitter set
Stickles- green
Rhinestones

Gypsy Wanderings- pumpkin drawn at 1.98"
Joy's Life Stamps- Halloween Puns
Cri-Kits pens- glitter set
Stickles- orange peel
Twine

Graphically Speaking- eyes drawn at 1.86"
Joy's Life Stamps- Halloween Puns
Cri-Kits pens- glitter set
Stickles- Christmas red
Rhinestones

I thought these could be given out to kids, co-workers, family, friends, etc.  Just attach one of these to a Halloween treat and VOILA!  Thanks for stopping by!!!!  :)

Hello out there!  Well, the first few days of school have gone pretty well!  I am so thankful that there were no major catastrophes the first day (especially at dismissal time)...  I didn't have any clingy parents, no crying students, and everyone made it home safely after school!  :)  WHEW!  I am also really having fun with my niece in my class!  She is so dang smart, it actually shocks me from time to time!  :)  Anywho, this week at Joy's Life we were asked to use an "oldie but goodie" stamp set.  I LOVE Yummy Puns, so I knew I wanted to use it on my project...

Happy TIDEings Card

Hello everyone!  Today is another challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut!!!  The challenge this week is:  Jump in and Cool Off- water theme (pool, beach, waterpark, etc.)  I instantly thought of the beach when I saw this challenge!  I LOVE going to the beach!  This summer I was lucky enough to go camping there, and it was amazing!!!  This card features some snorkeling...  I have to admit, I have never been scuba diving or snorkeling before...  It sounds like fun, but I have just never tried it!  Every time I have goggles on they fill up with water, so it makes a bit nervous to take the plunge and go diving!  :)

Pack Your Bags- underwater scene and layers cut at 5.71"
Joy's Life Stamps- Pun in the Sun (love it!)

That's it!  This was a super simple card to put together...  Now head over to Fantabulous Cricut and show us your water themed project!!!!  :)

Back to School Treat

Hello there everyone!!!  Our challenge at Joy's Life this week is to create a Back to School themed project...  As you know, that is a theme that is very near and dear to my heart!  I have really been wanting to make a project using one of the mini paint cans that Joy sells on her website...  It's the cutest darn thing ever!!!!  I love miniatures, so this paint can just made me smile before it was even decorated!  :)  I also love chocolate, so I filled this can with Hershey's Hugs...  I know all of the teachers in my grade level love chocolate too, so this would be the perfect gift!  Once the teacher is done with the candy, he/she can fill it up with whatever they wish...  Such as: paper clips, popsicle sticks, stickers, etc...

Fabulous Finds- clipboard cut at 2.76"
Hoot 'n' Holler- heart cut at 1.12"
